History
El Paso High School is the oldest high school in El Paso and, to some people, the most haunted place in town. This ancient building was established in 1916 and it still stands today near the Franklin Mountains. Its principal, in the 1900s, was named Kristen Ferret. She received numerous reports about strange sightings. “Since the days of its construction, paranormal events have taken place at the school,” said Tovar, one of the witnesses who was a math teacher at the school. One of the many reports was that people kept seeing an image of a girl jumping off from the balcony. Therefore, the school decided to block that hallway by building a wall. During World War II, many experts believe that the underground tunnels found below the school were used as shelters. They think this is so because of the bodies they have found in the school basement which could have been used as a morgue. Others, however, believe that the tunnels were used as a bomb shelter during the World War II and that's why there are many "ghosts" roaming the school.
